Barn Charm over at Bluff Area is closing..
So sad, this has been one of my favorite picture parties!
I drive by this little barn everyday, so thought I would use it for todays post.
I didn't want to trespass on the property, so couldn't really get the angles
that I wanted.  The tree in front  of the barn is dead, but now it fits into with the other
trees that are dropping its leaves.

A collage of some of my previous Barn Charm posts.
Its been fun, and I hope someone will maybe continue the party!

Have a great week everyone!

Easiest project ever!

I came across this idea on a blog and thought "what a great idea"  The wood used to make this sign is a cupboard panel!  No cutting or even painting required!  I just went to the Restore, picked up these three panels for $13 and have a couple more projects to make!  Easy peazy!!

I purchased some stencils from Michaels, using my 20% off coupon on my Iphone, bought some craft paint and had this little sign made in about 15 minutes.  I just used one of my scrapbooking stamp pads to run along the edge to give it a bit of definition.

We still have to finish the fireplace so I don't really have a "fall mantel" to show you this year, but I did put together this little arrangement.   Hydrangeas from the garden, another one of my favorites.

This little bowl and paddle are one of my purchases from the Vintage White sale we went to in Montana.  A butter bowl from the late 1800's I was told.  I cleaned it up, and just used canola oil on it to bring out some of the colors.

It is taking time to get things where I like them in this house, but we are slowly getting there!

What easy crafts have you found lately?

I did it! New header...

So, it has been over a year and a half since I changed my header!  Thought I would use this new mosaic for a Mosaic Monday post as well as my Barn Charm post this week.   I really didn't think I would remember where to even go to change the header,,,,but it turned out to be not so bad.

Barns. sunflowers and autumn colors, a few of my favorite things!

Have a great week everyone

Something different for Notecard Wednesday

Our youngest son has been riding around on a motor bike since he has been about 4 or 5 years old.  Many hours spent racing around a track,  jumping and catching some air!  Thought for my Notecard Wednesday post, I would share some photos from a few years ago.

Hope you enjoy some action shots today!

Those of you that have raised boys, know that at times you just have to hold on for the ride!

Please be sure to stop by Vee's for more Notecard Wednesday !

Vintage Market in Somers MN and Friday Fences

This past week end, Darrell and I went to Somers Montana.  There was a Vintage White sale taking place which we were curious to see, and my cousin from Alberta has a cabin closeby Somers as well.  So, we thought we could do two things at once!!  It was a beautiful week end, the Flathead Valley is very much like some parts of BC.

This is also my Friday Fences post.  Please stop over and see what other interesting fences you will find.  This was the entrance to the Vintage Sale,,,I did some editing in Picmonkey and this is what I decided to save.  I love chippy old fences ...

There was lots of painted furniture, vintage white, red, aqua blue, were some of the popular colors. Have you noticed how anything built with wood pallets is the big thing out in Blogland right now!
I liked this simple sign...

There were lots of people out and about looking for the perfect find!

Vintage looking display for these yummy baked goods!

Now, what I really wanted to take home was that yellow house up at the top of the picture!  Apparently it is for sale, along with a carriage house and a garage...what fun would that be for a BnB!! It is sitting empty, and the last person to purchase it was going to do a bunch of work on it.  Unfortunately, the roof project didn't progress far, it is without shingles, and my heart hurts to think it will be in such disrepair if someone doesn't rescue it!!

So, our first vintage market was a success!
Fun day out and about, and we did find 3 small treasures that I will share with you later.

Summer is winding down, we just had the most amazing lightning show here and now it is raining. A nice break from the hot days we have had here in Southern Alberta.

Have a great week end everyone and take care!
